Since the Florida Eye Clinic Ambulatory Surgical Center opened in 1984, over 150,000 successful eye surgeries have been performed. The Florida Eye Clinic’s Ambulatory Surgical Center is home to highest experienced staff of eye surgeons in Central Florida. Our ASC is located within our Altamonte Springs facility and is accredited by The Joint Commission.

ASC Payment Policies

Florida Eye Clinic ASC participates with a multitude of insurance plans. We do collect from patients, their out of pocket patient responsibility based upon information provided by the carriers prior to the surgery. The information from the carriers is not always accurate and patients will receive statements should a patient balance be reflected after their insurance has paid their portion.

We also offer CareCredit for financing options for patients as needed.

Patients should not rely on the following posted information without contacting the facility to confirm that it applies.

As applicable, “services may be provided in this health care facility by the facility as well as by other health care providers who may separately bill the patient and who may or may not participate with the same health insurers or health maintenance organizations as the facility.”

Patients should contact each health care provider who will provide their service for an estimate of their charges.

“Patients and prospective patients may request from this facility and other health care providers a more personalized estimate of charges and other information. Patients and prospective patients should contact each health care practitioner who will provide services in the ASC to determine the health insurers and health maintenance organizations with which the health care practitioner participates as a network provider or preferred provider.”

“You should contact your insurer or health maintenance organization regarding your cost-sharing responsibilities.”

“When you get emergency care or are treated by an out-of-network provider at an in-network hospital or ambulatory surgical center, you are protected from surprise billing or balance billing.”

Payments made to the facilities for defined service bundles and procedures are a non-personalized estimate of costs that may be incurred by the patient for anticipated services and that actual costs will be based on services actually provided to the patient. This information will be provided to the patients.
